From Out of Shape to Crossfit Games Champ: My Story

crossfit motivation

At 38 years old, I never thought I'd be in the best shape of my life. In fact, just a few short years ago, I was overweight and out of shape. That all changed when I discovered Crossfit. Crossfit completely transformed my body and my life. In just two short years, I went from being an out-of-shape couch potato to becoming a 2x Crossfit Games champion. Here's how I did it...

I'd always been a bit overweight, but things really got out of control after I turned 35. I started putting on weight at an alarming rate and before long, I was carrying an extra 50 pounds. On top of that, my energy levels were shot and I was constantly winded just from walking up a flight of stairs. Something had to change.

Thankfully, a friend introduced me to Crossfit and it completely changed my life. For the first time in years, I felt motivated to get in shape and improve my health. The group classes were also a great way to make friends and stay accountable. In just 6 months, I had lost the extra weight and my energy levels were through the roof. But I didn't just stop there...

I kept pushing myself harder and harder until eventually, I qualified for and won the Crossfit Games—not once, but twice! If you had told me 4 years ago that I would be where I am today, I would have never believed you. But it just goes to show what's possible if you set your mind to it and never give up.

If you're over 40 and out of shape, don't despair—it's never too late to turn things around. Just ask me! Through hard work and determination (and a little help from Crossfit), I went from being overweight and out-of-shape to becoming a 2x Crossfit Games champion. So whatever your goals may be, don't let your age or current fitness level hold you back. Get out there and start working towards making your dreams a reality!
